What it means to be a sponsor

Sponsoring a letter helps deliver The Post Companion to someone who may benefit from quiet companionship but may not otherwise receive one.

There is no pressure attached to these letters.
No expectations.
Just something quiet arriving in the mailbox.

Businesses, community organizations, and individuals can all participate in the program.

Where Sponsored Letters Go:

Sponsored letters are distributed by The Post Companion and information is kept private. 

We receive recipient information from the following. 

• Veteran outreach programs
• Senior living communities
•  Community support organizations
• Neighbors quietly reaching out to neighbors
• They also go to individuals suggested by our community. 

Many people move through seasons of isolation — seniors living alone, veterans adjusting to civilian life, individuals navigating grief or illness, or simply people living far from family.

Sponsors help place thoughtful letters into the hands of those individuals. A small gesture that offers reflection, encouragement, and the simple reminder that someone in the world is thinking of them.

Your sponsorship helps cover the printing, postage, and preparation required to deliver each letter.

Each sponsored letter travels quietly through the mail to someone who may be experiencing isolation.

 If you know someone who might benefit from receiving a quiet letter of connection, and you can't afford to purchase a letter, you are welcome to share their mailing address with us.

When a Sponsor donates I will then connect that donation to pending recipients.

Many of the letters sent through The Post Companion reach individuals experiencing loneliness, life transitions, grief, or distance from loved ones. If someone comes to mind, you may submit their name and mailing address through the contact form below.

While we cannot guarantee that every submitted address will receive a letter, we carefully review all requests and send letters when sponsorships or availability allow.

Please only submit addresses for individuals you believe would welcome a thoughtful letter.
